At UMatch, we strive to dissuade our students of the notion that only a handful of “best” colleges exist and instead lead them to discover a breadth of colleges that may prove to be the best matches for them. UMatch crafts each student’s initial college list by getting to know them – their passions, goals, strengths, and struggles. Students then take the lead through a rigorous research process, refining the list along the way.

UMatch guides students through the oft-dreaded world of essays. We start with brainstorming exercises, and then UMatch tailors its guidance to each student’s writing process. UMatch helps students highlight their best selves through their writing. To be sure, UMatch will not write any part of a student’s essays. Instead, we lead the students to tell their own stories and take pride in their work.

One place to keep all of the pieces of college applications? Direct messaging to your UMatch consultant? A calendar pre-loaded with testing dates, application deadlines, and more? UMatch does it all. Our web-based student portal keeps students organized throughout the application process. The mobile-friendly interface allows students to access all portal features on the go.

UMatch recognizes the stress that many families experience as they think about how to pay for college. We strive to provide families with information about financial aid of all types, including need-based aid, work study, merit awards, student loans, and scholarships. UMatch will work with families as they complete the FAFSA and/or other forms required for financial aid eligibility.
